Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, February 1, Thursday, February 2 and Friday,

February 3rd during all three lunches or you can see Mrs. Culler in room 205 in The CTE building. 

You must sign up and pay your deposit by Friday February 3rd to reserve your Seat on the bus. Students are not allowed to drive themselves.

If you do not sign up by Friday, February 3rd you will only be allowed to go if

The Patrick County FFA will be traveling to the Southern Farm Show in Raleigh on Feb 1. The cost of the trip is $25 for paid FFA members. Please see Mr. Roberson in the greenhouse to pick up your permission slip and pay. All money and forms are due by today, January 31. 
 - Attention any students interested in Tennis! There will be a tennis meeting for any student interested in playing Boys as well as Girls Tennis this Friday, February 3rd, directly after announcements in the cafeteria.

- Congratulations to the wrestling team on winning their 2nd consecutive Piedmont District Championship on Saturday. Jonathan Culler, Ethan Cobbler, Juan Pablo, Stephen Spencer, Rawl Mabe, and Tristan Hardy won 1st place honors in their weight class. Ben Knight, Trent Alexander, Paul Pascale, and Ricky Mijia
finished 2nd in their respective weight class. Jackson Iacovone, Jay Howard, and Xavier Torres finished 3rd. Ben Knight, Xavier Torres, and Jackson Iacovone had awesome matches to help the team win this honor. Go Cougars!
- Wind & Solar Challenge teams will be meeting after school Mondays and Wednesdays after school in Ms. Ayers's room.
- Hello Junior Beta members. We will have a meeting in the upstairs conference room this Friday morning. Please join us after morning announcements. 
- Send a sweet treat to your special Valentine! Culinary Arts will be selling Valentine Cookie Grams during all 3 Lunches, February 1st-8th for only $1. Cookies will be delivered during 4th Block on February 14th. Stop by the table outside the cafeteria starting on February 1st.
- TRIVIA NIGHT at Rotary Field at the Hooker Building For the benefit of PCHS Softball on February 4th! Doors open at 6 pm game at 7 pm Prizes for winners, food available for purchase up to 6 players per team. $25 per team. 
- Attention Seniors:  The first deposit of $41.00 for the senior trip to Carowinds is due by Friday, February 3. Students will be collecting during all 3 lunches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have questions see Mrs. Culler in CTE room 205. 

It's that time of year again! The Prom Committee will be having their annual Dodgeball Tournament March 3rd, 2023 at 7PM. All proceeds will go towards the 2023 Jr/Sr Prom. Any PCHS students interested in entering a team for this can pick up a packet in the front office. You must have 8 members on your team, with each member paying $5 ($40 team total). Interested teams will need to complete the team roster, the player forms (as well as full payments) no later than February 27th to Mrs. Nowlin to secure your team's spot. The first 16 teams will be accepted! 
Not interested in entering a team? Come out and watch this event for $5! Please see Mrs. Nowlin if you should have any questions. 

TONIGHT IS SENIOR NIGHT for our LADY COUGARS! The Lady Cougars will be battling Tunstall tonight. Let's pack the house!  JV Game @ 5:30 and Varsity to follow.  Go Cougars!

Attention Girls who are interested in playing soccer this season. Middle School tryouts for all 7th-8th graders will be held Monday, February 6, through Friday, February 10.  You must have a VHSL Physical to try out. All 9th - 12th graders, Varsity and JV tryout will be held February 13, through February 16. You must have a VHSL Physical to try out. We are still conditioning Mon-Thurs. unless otherwise stated.  Report to Coach Deskins Room 122 after aschool for tryouts and conditioning.  If you have any questions please reach out to Coach Deskins, Coach Silva, or Coach Chavez.

- Thanks to all for "packing the COUGARDEN" on Friday night... what an environment! It was a GREAT turnout for the Boy's Basketball SENIOR NIGHT. Both our JV and Varsity teams were victorious against the Warriors of Magna Vista. CONGRATS to both teams! Your COUGARS will be back in action tomorrow night at Tunstall HS to battle the Trojans, who are 18-1 and in 1st place in the district. If you can, come help root your COUGARS on!

- CONGRATS to our Varsity BOYS Basketball team as they defeated the Halifax Comets on Friday night in Halifax. It was a closely contested game but our COUGARS came out on top. Thanks to all who made the trip down to root our Cougars on to victory! Your COUGARS will be back in action this week: Tuesday @Bassett and Friday here in the COUGAR DEN against the Warriors of Magna Vista (This will be Senior night so please come out and PACK the DEN!

The semi-formal is open to 10th-12th grade students. 
9th graders are only allowed to attend if they are invited by an upperclassman. 
8th graders are not allowed to attend the Winter Semi-Formal.

- The Wrestling Team won all 3 of their final district matches last night. They defeated GW Danville 84-0, Martinsville 84-0, and Halifax 72-12. Senior wrestlers Jonathan Culler, Juan Pablo, Trent Alexander, Rawl Mabe, Tristan Hardy, and Ricky Mejia all went 3-0 in their final home match. The team finished 18-0 in the district regular

If you answered yes to any of these questions then sign up for Cougar Den. Cougar Den will start on Thursday 1/19/2023 after school in the PCHS library. Your classroom teachers should have sign up links for Cougar Den posted to their course Canvas or Google Classroom software.
