* Yearbooks will be distributed to Seniors during 4th block Tuesday, May 17. They will be distributed to underclassmen Wednesday, May 18. If you have not purchased a yearbook, you can bring $75 -CASH ONLY-, to Mrs. Mullis by Friday, May 13. After that, extras will be available only after all books have been distributed Wednesday. Correct change only.

* JV & Varsity Cheer Try-outs will be held Monday, May 23 from 3-5 pm, Tuesday, May 24 9-11 am, and Thursday, May 26 9-11 am in the PCHS Auditorium. Anyone wanting to participate in try-outs must have a VHSL health physical before coming to try-outs. Sign-up sheets for try-outs will be outside the library doors.

* Wrestling workouts will be held today and Thursday of this week.

* Attention Seniors:
Don't forget to turn in permission forms for the elementary walk, senior picnic, and to swim at the picnic. Turn these in to Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Rose or the tray in guidance.


* Attention Seniors: 
Thursday, May 19th 7:00-11:00 pm Senior Room Mothers are hosting Bowling Night. Tickets are being sold for Tin Pin Alley Bowling during all 4 lunches this week. Tickets are $7.00 per senior ticket includes bowling for entire night and chance on door prizes. This event is only for PCHS Seniors no outside guests are allowed.

1. Chromebooks, chargers, cases, and Hot Spots must be returned.
2. The chromebook should be charged to at least 90%
3. Use masking tape to label chromebooks and cases with first and last name as well as grade.
4. Please make sure to remove all stickers from the chromebooks
5. Anything not returned must be paid for:
Chromebooks - $240.00
Chargers - $32.00
Hotspots - $80.00

* wrestling workouts will be held today and Thursday of this week.

* We will have our end of the year awards assembly today. Teachers see your email for today's bell schedule. Students will need to take their items to the gym with them. Announcements will be made to release students by grade level to the gym. The assembly begins at 2:10 pm

DVDs of graduation are on sale now. They are $25 dollars each. See Mrs. Vernon or Ms. Silva in the library for a DVD form and to pay for your DVD. All forms and money are due by the end of the day today! 

* Any student who wishes to participate in Athletics will need a cleared Sports Physical on file with the school. You must also have these on file to try out for a sport. All students will need a new physical for the new school year 22-23. A physical clinic will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at PCHS. Please take the time to fill out the google doc to sign up. Even if you are not sure if you will try out for a sport, it is highly recommended you still get a physical before the year starts to avoid the rush of getting one last minute and possibly missing tryouts for any sport. These must be submitted EACH YEAR for student athletes to remain eligible for play.

PCHS is offering sports physicals at school on Tuesday, May 17. Students may sign up in their CLASS OF google classroom. Physical forms can be picked up from the front office and MUST be turned in to the office prior to the physical clinic on May 17th. Students will NOT be eligible for tryouts, practice, or play without an up to date Sports Physical!!

* CONGRATS to our JV Lady Cougar Softball team as they wrapped up their season with a 5-1 win over the Floyd County Lady Buffaloes last night. Our Lady Cougars finished with a record of 15 wins and only 3 losses. CONGRATS ladies on a great season. 
We want to say thanks to everyone who came out to support them during the season! We also want to take this time to say CONGRATS to our VARSITY LADY COUGARS on their win last night and BEST OF LUCK in upcoming postseason play!

* Congratulations to Nash Thompson and Gavin McGhee they qualified for Nationals and will compete in the Bassmaster High School National Championship at Lake Hartwell, SC in August. We are very proud of all of the Patrick County High School Fishing Team anglers and can't wait to see what the future has in store for each of you!

* Congrats to our Lady Cougars JV Softball team as they defeated the Lady Wildcats of Dan River last night, 14-1 in 5 innings, to improve their record on the season to 14 and 3. CONGRATS ladies.

Please come out and support your Lady Cougars as they wrap up their season on Wednesday here at home against the Lady Buffaloes of Floyd County. First pitch is at 5pm. Hope to see you there! Best of Luck Ladies!

* The Varsity Lady Cougars Soccer team got another big win last night over GW Danville, The Cougars won 5 to 0. Scores for the Lady Cougars include Sadie Vernon, Lilly Jessup, Chloie Wright, Macy Hall, and Juliana Huerta. Cecilia Leon Cisneros had 4 saves in the goal. Congratulations to the Lady Cougars on a great Senior Night.
