Hello! I’m Chris Quance, and since we assign counselors to students based on the students’ last names, I am the counselor for all students whose last names start with “N” through the end of the alphabet. I encourage any student with academic or social/emotional concerns to come and talk with me. Parents with concerns about their student(s) are also welcome. Students can meet with me at any time during the school day, though they will need their teachers’ permission if they are not coming by during their lunch. If I am not in my office when you come by, please write your name on the clipboard on my door so that I know you would like to speak with me.

About me:

I grew up in/around Fayetteville, NC and moved to Surry County, NC with my wife, who is from there, in 2013. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in School Counseling, both from Campbell University. I started working at Patrick County High School July 2013, and I hope to be here for many more years to come.
